Hey all, I'm Cameron a British method actor from Birmingham in England and for those of you not familiar with this part of the globe it is in the U.K. and is in fact the second largest city in England and what a great place to live might I add! Rather than blow my own trumpet I thought I'd devise a website that gives you the reader an insight into my inner workings, my beliefs and what propelled me to become a method actor. This website won't tell you how many star jumps I can do or how many muffins I can eat in one sitting, it won't tell you that I'm amazing or I'm the next big thing and it most definitely won't tell you how many leather jackets I own, for some strange reason I'm addicted to buying them and before you ask, I have NO leather fetish I'm just addicted to buying these bad boys! This site was purely designed with the idea to network and find like minded people to work with in the hope of great minds, talented artists and free spirited souls converging to create character driven movies that are both thought provoking and memorable. If you like what you see get in touch and if you don't then please don't let me find you because if I do I'll hunt you down to Chinatown! In the past I have always bypassed social media as I'm a fairly private customer but I have finally realised no one will discover your talent if you hide under the duvet your whole life, something I love doing! In essence I'm just a down to earth guy from a working class background with a big heart and a curious mind.
OK enough of my rambling let’s get to the meat and two veg of what made me catch the acting bug. The acting seed was implanted on a subliminal level when I was a cheeky but cute little boy, in fact as a child I was often mistaken for a little girl, or so my Mom tells me, I think the long hair may have helped the cause! As a child I was always fascinated by stories. In the early years my daily highlight would be Mom reading me a bedtime tale of wonder and adventure. I’d picture myself as the characters she read to me about and I'd imagine how I would react to the situations and scenarios were I in them. One of my earliest childhood memories was of being in school and looking forward to the end of the day when the teacher would read a story to the class.
My imagination ran riot and to this day I believe these stories ignited my creativity and many traits of my personality.
The stories didn't need to be elaborate or fantastical to captivate me. It was often the most simple narrative that intrigued me the most. When I was very young, around five years of age I wasn't aware at the time but later after studying human psychology via 'The Method' I understood that those early experience's conditioned me into the life of being an actor. As I got older and into my early teens I started to delve deeper into stories. I quickly realised that the most compelling aspect of any story are the characters within them. This drove me to explore the hidden workings of human decision making, to examine what it is that really drives a person to
take a particular action or say those precise words. It's fascinating to analyse emotions and experiences that certain people react to or against when they reach junctions in their lives. I love the stories of people I come into contact with in my daily life and I’m sure many of them must take me for a prying little shi*head because I like to ask questions and explore the nuances. This is purely so that I can understand the essence of that person and their story or journey, in the hope that I can potentially use a fragment of their narrative or experience in my own creative capacity.
